Here’s a fun little drawing lessons – how to draw a cartoon king. Simple and symmetrical – let your creative juices flow here… and see what sort of neat looking character you can come up with.
Starting from the very top – and working our way down the drawing, let’s begin…
First Step – Draw a Framework
To start things off – how about a simple framework to keep everything in line as you go ahead and draw. A simple circle with a cross is a great starting point.
Here’s how I drew mine…
The green lines are there as place markers for the curvature of the king’s robe – soon to come! It’s simple planning like this – that makes drawing cartoons all the more easy! Don’t you agree?
OK – time to draw!
Second Step – Draw Your King, Step by Step
In so many steps, here’s how the lessons goes. Remember, don’t hesitate to ‘branch off’ – adding and subtracting your own details as you progress. It’s all about being creative – so for sure… do so!
When you’re finished – you’ve got a cool-looking drawing of a king – one to style and color however you see fit. Another look above and I can already think of some other ways you might have drawn him. For example – a softer ‘cloud-like’ beard. A higher crown. Skinnier altogether! Up to you.
Well – there you have it. Hope you enjoyed this lesson!
